Job Title:

System Security Specialist - Threat Mitigation and Vulnerability Control

Job Summary:

The System Security Specialist will play a key role in supporting the organization's threat exposure and vulnerability management program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating and managing various security tools, providing data analytics, and generating actionable metrics to inform decision-making.

  • Maintain day-to-day operational cadence by adhering to established best practices or processes and workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats through daily intelligence sourcing and assessments
  • Evaluate current threats, assess their impact on organizational assets, and provide guidance on actionable next steps to mitigate or remediate identified threats
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to track and remediate identified threats
  • Advise on industry trends, process improvements, or product roadmaps
  • Analyze trends, outliers, and create actionable metrics for management attention
  • Regularly interact with Security Operations managers
  • Ensure system compliance and maintain high system availability

Key Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in threat exposure and vulnerability management
  • Experience in sustaining or operating vulnerability management tools such as Qualys VMDR, Tenable VM, Prisma CWP, or other related solutions
  • Vulnerability management experience must include traditional endpoints, cloud services, mobile devices, and IoT/OT devices
  • Expertise with External Attack Surface Management tools and processes or workflows
  • Experience with cloud vulnerability management (IaaS) including container security - familiarity with containers, serverless compute, or functions
  • Familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps
  • Experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
