System Security Specialist Role Summary:

This position involves maintaining the integrity and security of systems, grounds, or other work sites. The successful candidate will report to an Information Security Manager and be responsible for upholding system security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in designing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the execution of Information Security and privacy inherent to new engagements.
  • Identify technological opportunities and evaluate the Information Security and privacy impacts on end points.
  • Prevent/deter theft and fraud through physical presence and engagement.
  • Manage confidential files, perform audits, conduct network and patch vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest information security controls, practices, techniques, and capabilities in the marketplace, as well as evolving threats.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across all digital platforms.
  • Perform functional tests of new security tools, provide test results, and feedback to internal teams and vendors.
  • Direct emergency response personnel to the area of incident.

Requirements:

  • Infrastructure administration and management expertise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and report writing.
  • Ability to learn and understand fire and security systems, including electronic access control systems.
  • Knowledge of Symantec Control Compliance Suite is a plus.
  • Understanding of third-party risk management considerations, incident response, and crisis management processes.
  • Ability to direct customers based on knowledge of product locations.
  • Knowledge of incident response and crisis management processes.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Certification in cyber and privacy (e.g., CISSP) is desired.
  • Certification in CCNA, routing and switching, security is a plus.
  • Minimum three years of experience in IT Security – Data Loss Prevention.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Basic understanding of behavioral safety strategies.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security Platform (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Management of multiple OEMs & vendors in large complex environments.
