Import Executive Job Description

As an Import Executive, you will play a key role in overseeing the importation of goods into our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating with suppliers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

The Import Executive will be responsible for managing all aspects of import operations, including:

  • Pre-shipment documentation: Preparing export invoices, packing lists, and other related documents.
  • Freight management: Negotiating air or sea freight rates with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHA.
  • Customs clearance: Coordinating with customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments.
  • Warehouse management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of imported goods.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
