Senior Data Engineer Position

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Develop robust data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Azure Stack, and Apache Spark.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements and implement innovative solutions.
  • Issue Triage: Triage issues to find gaps in existing pipelines and fix the issues efficiently.
  • Reporting Needs: Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop data models to fulfill those needs.
  • Technical Discussions: Drive technical discussions with client architects and team members to ensure alignment on data engineering strategies.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of IT experience, with 3+ years of experience in data warehouse/ETL projects.
  • Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles and good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and Spark (PySpark).
  • Candidate must have experience in AWS/Azure stack.
  • Desirable to have ETL with batch and streaming (Kinesis).

Mandatory Skills: Python, PySpark, Spark with Azure/Databricks
