Digital Data Architect

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake administrator to oversee the management, optimization, and security of our data cloud environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Manage Snowflake accounts, users, roles, and permissions following RBAC principles.
  • Query Performance: Monitor query performance, optimize warehouses, and tune workloads to ensure efficient execution.
  • Database Administration: Oversee databases, schemas, tables, and data pipelines in Snowflake.
  • Data Security: Implement security best practices including encryption, data masking, network policies, and audit logging.
  • Automation: Develop scripts for monitoring, alerting, and automating administrative tasks (SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
Key Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Snowflake Administrator
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Snowflake features: Virtual Warehouses, Clustering, Time Travel, Data Sharing, Resource Monitors, Tasks, Streams. Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integrations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Certification: SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification.
  • IaC Tools: Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with Datadog, Splunk, or other monitoring tools.
