Job Opportunity

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing bridges, utilizing expertise in Steel Composite and Pretension/Posttension structures to create comprehensive assessment reports.
  • Undertake feasibility studies for bridge strengthening and repair, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Create new bridge designs and strengthening solutions that meet UK standards, adhering to design and health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform design and assessment checks under the supervision of a Senior or Principal Engineer, focusing on Cat II or Cat III requirements.
  • Develop and compile drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within designated timelines, verifying compliance with project briefs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Maintain accurate document control and QA processes, ensuring timely issue and filing/archive of work carried out.
  • Produce high-quality work that meets WSP design standards, suggesting revisions as necessary.
  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to AIP or other project requirements.
  • Utilize WSP calculation templates and guarantee that calculation sheets align with WSP standards.
  • Leverage WSP Technical library and Information systems to facilitate design work.
  • Promote the use of latest British and European Standards, prioritizing version control.
