Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer Role

Job Overview

This is a highly specialized position that requires the ability to translate application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure, deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with public cloud infrastructure management, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. They must be proficient in containerized environments and have hands-on knowledge of computing services like EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and Route 53/DNS.

The selected individual will work closely with our team to deliver and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices. This includes provisioning and configuring cloud resources, monitoring systems, and defining and documenting best practices and strategies regarding infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities include responding to technical issues in a professional and timely manner, troubleshooting distributed systems, and migrating on-premises workload to cloud service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure
  • Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures
  • Provision and configure cloud resources in multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) environment
  • Monitor and audit systems
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding infrastructure maintenance
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are seeking candidates who possess:

  • Extensive experience with public cloud infrastructure management, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Proficiency in containerized environments (EKS/AKS/GKE)
  • Hands-on knowledge of computing services like EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and Route 53/DNS
  • Strong notions of security best practices
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and firewalls)
  • Ability to write infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, JSON, YAML or Terraform
  • Understanding of public cloud (GCP/Azure/AWS) infrastructure management
