Navigation and Integrated Systems Engineer

The Navigation and Integrated Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning of navigation systems onboard vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with international rules and regulations, including IMS standards.
  • Implement quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies in all duties.
  • Develop and report on a continuous performance improvement plan.
  • Monitor and organize surveys/health checks/maintenance of navigation integrated systems, providing support to vessels and shore teams.
  • Manage repairs within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners.
  • Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems.
  • Provide feedback and challenge repair proposals to ensure operational availability.
  • Contribute to experience feedback and lessons learned from vessel's navigation integrated systems to improve reliability.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of radio and navigation systems onboard, discussing optimal lifecycle with expert teams.
  • Evaluate and assess regularly partners and key vendors with segment purchasers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics and telecommunications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 years' experience in supporting vessels is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems, OT networking, cybersecurity controls.
  • Troubleshooting, initiative, flair to solve issues, and curiosity for new technologies.
  • Project management skills, competencies in various software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Query.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
