Telecommunications Engineer

Due to growing success within the Technology and Security Consulting business, we are seeking a seasoned ICT & Telecommunications professional on a permanent staff basis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed designs relating to ICT & Telecommunications Systems including Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), Communications Rooms and supporting systems, Outside Plant Infrastructure (OSP), Active ICT Networks, Wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modelling, RF Systems, and Technology platforms and systems.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works to suitably qualified integrators/contractors for installation and commissioning of systems and solutions.

Key skills required include:

  • Vendor and industry certifications to demonstrate capability and skill level.
  • Expert use of telecommunications design packages.
  • Familiarity with health & safety and systems engineering/design assurance requirements.
  • Stimulated by meeting technical challenges.
  • Technical ability and innovative mindset.
  • Focus on quality and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Skills as both a leader and as part of a team.
  • Active in self-development and mentoring/guidance/development of others.

The successful candidate will have underpinning knowledge of Network design principles and significant experience working within critical environments.
