Job Description
A senior technical support engineer will handle customer issues, resolve them efficiently and provide expert advice on product upgrades. The role requires strong background in managing hotfixes/patches for applications, Linux and Windows Server environments, as well as experience with networking, security, certificate management platforms and cloud services.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in these areas and possess excellent collaboration skills, a team player attitude and knowledge base maintenance skills. Additionally, the candidate should strive for automation by coding or leading developers to build systems that are easy to run in production.
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer issues and drive them to resolution.
- Provide technical expertise in product upgrades.
- Effective troubleshooting and logical reasoning.
- Ability to handle escalated situations.
- Scale quickly as an individual contributor.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge base maintenance and contribution.
- Strive for automation through coding or developer influence.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- 3-4 years of experience in networking, security and certificate management platforms.
- Strong background in managing and deploying hotfixes/patches.
- 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
- Practical knowledge of shell scripting or Python for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, RHEL, AWS or Azure are beneficial.
Desirable Skills:
- Devops CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Supporting/troubleshooting java developed applications/products.
