Cost Optimization Specialist

Role Overview:

As a Cost Optimization Specialist, you will play a key role in driving cost efficiency across the organization. This involves leading and managing plant costing operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of product costing and cost allocation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly/quarterly/annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans in coordination with senior management teams.
  • Driving cost optimization initiatives, analyzing variances between actual and standard costs, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Conducting regular margin analysis, make vs. buy decisions, and capacity utilization studies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Partnering with production, procurement, and operations teams to monitor cost drivers and implement cost control strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls throughout all operations.
Requirements:

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification with 12–18 years of relevant experience in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience working in automobile/automotive/auto component manufacturing companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel/Power BI is required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial for success in this position.
