Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced FinOps leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and operations, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive FinOps strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead a global team of IT professionals to execute on this strategy, working closely with other functions and organizations to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Analyze cloud and on-premise infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities for reduction and implementing process improvements to optimize spending.
  • Manage AMS contracts to negotiate optimal pricing models for DP&A apps, ensuring alignment with business expectations and vendor management best practices.
  • Rationalize apps to minimize unnecessary expenses, providing clear justification and persuading stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Optimize inefficient processes and tools, streamlining workflows and improving productivity through strategic recommendations and collaborative change leadership.
  • Enhance transparency via reporting and insights, developing dashboards, reports, and analytics to inform strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Research and implement the latest FinOps best practices and tools, staying up-to-date on industry trends and leveraging expertise to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience leading IT teams in large companies or top-tier consulting firms.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to simplify complexity and make good decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and mitigate uncertainty while dealing with ambiguity.
  • Creative thinker who is passionate about making things more efficient and effective.
  • Experienced change leader who can build broad networks and deliver results in a collaborative way.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and convince others to act using influence rather than direct control.
  • Highly experienced presentation skills with the ability to communicate with senior leaders and technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically then exceed expectations with tactical execution.
  • Experience leading and managing diverse and global teams of contractors and employees.
  • Curiosity for learning and helping others grow.
  • Preferred experience in FinOps and/or Finance.
  • Experience working with vendors to deliver highly visible and complex programs.
  • Experience applying agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, SAFe) to deliver results with high team org health.
