Senior Engineering Manager Role

This is a leadership position that focuses on the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of commodities and components across various projects, including delivering commodity plans to quality, cost, and time requirements.
  • Delivering engineering advanced product quality planning deliverables, managing change requests, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams in support of program milestones.
  • Managing design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off and supporting engineering test teams with issue rectification.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in leading the resolution of business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment.
  • Good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of automotive body cabin systems, plastic, and sheet metal materials, design rules, bill of design, bill of process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, part, and assembly level tests.
  • Able to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using CATIA V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Experience in using CATIA V5 & V6.
  • Should have good knowledge of domain knowledge, parametric modeling, BOM creation, and update.
  • Should have good GD&T knowledge.
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
  • Should have good knowledge of Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), part release process, and system.
  • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s)/system(s) design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • PC literacy: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Qualifications:

  • BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing programs.

Responsibilities include ownership of commodities and components, delivering engineering advanced product quality planning deliverables, and managing design verification test plans.

Requirements include previous experience in leading the resolution of business, technical, and process issues, as well as good working knowledge of product creation and delivery processes.
