Senior Menswear Buying Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the development and implementation of strategic buying plans for our menswear division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of buyers, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and driving efficiency in the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Strategic Buying Plans: Create and execute comprehensive buying plans that align with organizational objectives and optimize procurement processes.
  2. Lead the Buying Team: Supervise and motivate the buying team to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
  3. Negotiate Contracts: Secure favorable terms and pricing with suppliers through effective negotiation skills.
  4. Market Trend Analysis: Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational goals.
  6. Cost-Saving Initiatives: Implement initiatives to reduce costs and drive efficiency in the buying process.
  7. Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor capabilities and maintain relationships to support long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in apparel buying and product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
