Expertise in database administration is key to our success. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong skills in SQL Server upgrades, Always On Availability Groups, and cloud migrations.

Our ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in upgrading, migrating, and maintaining mission-critical databases to ensure performance, availability, security, and scalability.

  • Lead and execute complex SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to the latest release.
  • Design, configure, and manage high-availability Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR) in production environments.
  • Plan and implement database migrations to cloud services like AWS (RDS, EC2, or other services) with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server performance (queries, indexes, statistics, execution plans).
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server to the latest version in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database migration tools (DMS, RDS, EC2, or hybrid solutions).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of backup/recovery strategies and database security.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for database administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
