Job Title: Compliance Officer

This is a key role within our organization that will ensure adherence to RBI and SEBI regulations. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal matters.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and implementing regulatory updates, providing compliance advisory to business teams, and ensuring strict adherence to RBI and SEBI guidelines. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and submit periodic returns to RBI and other regulators, act as the single point of contact for regulatory queries and clarifications, and coordinate with group entities to share compliance updates and submit data.

The role will also involve developing and implementing an annual compliance testing plan, reporting significant compliance lapses to the Audit Committee and senior leadership, conducting regular compliance reviews and testing internal controls across departments, leading annual RBI inspections, statutory and internal audits, and other regulatory reviews.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelors or Master's degree in Law, Finance, or related field, 7–13 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in banking or NBFC sector, and a strong understanding of RBI and SEBI regulations and financial compliance frameworks.

You should also possess excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, experience in handling audits, inspections, and board-level presentations, and certification in Compliance, Risk Management, or related areas.

  • Preferred Attributes include Certification in Compliance, Risk Management, or related areas, Experience in policy drafting and governance, Familiarity with compliance systems and automation tools, and Strong understanding of RBI and SEBI regulations and financial compliance frameworks.
