Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the organization's data assets are accurate, secure, compliant, and properly managed throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
  • Manage and monitor data lineage to ensure data traceability and accuracy across systems.
  • Lead initiatives on Master Data Management (MDM), ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT, business, and compliance teams to define data standards, data quality metrics, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct data audits, data quality assessments, and implement remediation plans for data inconsistencies or breaches.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data governance tools, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by ensuring high-quality, trusted, and compliant data is available for analytics and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data compliance roles.
  • Hands-on experience with data lineage tools and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Experience with data quality management, metadata management, and data catalog tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
