We're seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in designing, building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and architectures.

This role is crucial to the development of new data products and modernizing existing platforms. As a seasoned cloud engineer, you'll serve as a key expert, mentoring and guiding other engineers to enhance their cloud skillsets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and data products using cloud-native services.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using various tools and technologies.
  • Support and evolve data models that drive operational and analytical workloads.
  • Modernize legacy systems and migrate workloads to cloud-native platforms.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

  • Build, deploy and manage cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena and Step Functions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost and security.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience and compliance of AWS-based data platforms.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product managers, analysts and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Contribute to the data platform modernization roadmap and support new product delivery.

What We're Looking For

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or equivalent technical role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Development & DevOps experience.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep experience with Oracle (PL/SQL, performance tuning, data extraction).
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (networking, security, cost optimization).
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with modern orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
  • Exposure to data cataloging, governance and quality tools.
