As an Engineer II - Backend, you'll apply Computer Science principles to design, build, maintain scalable and sustainable technology Products and Solutions that deliver exceptional guest experiences while meeting business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, build, and test new systems from scratch with minimal support.
  2. Collaborate with local and partner teams to drive results.
  3. Maintain quality standards.
  4. Identify performance issues and optimize solutions.
  5. Implement secure coding practices and system fundamentals.
  6. Lead end-to-end engineering for complex projects and problems within practice.
  7. Deliver software with strong fundamentals including automated testing, source control, continuous integration, and deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 7+ years of professional experience in the practice area, including Java/Spring Boot, Design patterns, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres SQL, CD/CI, Github, Jenkins, Kafka, Agile methodology, Test frameworks.

Candidates Prioritized:

Candidates with knowledge of microservices architecture patterns, synchronous/asynchronous processing and error handling patterns with Spring Boot, and experience building web services and integrations with message-driven architecture will be prioritized.
