Enterprise Database Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, performance tuning, and maintaining enterprise-grade databases, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases in production and development environments.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL Server native tools.
  • Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance, and audit requirements.
  • Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL Server native tools.
  • Ability to automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of security policies, data governance, and audit requirements.
