As a Freelance Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of applications.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in the Karate Framework for both UI and API test automation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the Karate Framework for UI and API testing.
  • Design reusable, modular, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing efforts.
  • Execute and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and execution reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Karate Framework for both API and UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages.
  • Exposure to cloud environments is a plus.

About the Role:

This is a freelance position that requires a high level of autonomy and self-motivation. You will work independently to design and develop automated test cases, but also collaborate with our team to ensure seamless integration and effective testing.
