The Role of a Quality Manager is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of operations across various industries.
Job Summary:This position oversees the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within an organization's operations and labs.
The Quality Manager ensures compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, BIS, BPI, internal standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements across all testing and inspection activities.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement QMS: Ensure the QMS complies with ISO /IEC 17025, ISO 9001 & BIS, accreditation/approval bodies, and other relevant requirements.
- Monitor and Improve QMS: Appraise management on effectiveness, lead quality audits, manage CAPA, register customer complaints, and resolve them through investigation and root cause analysis.
- Train Staff: Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures, and testing standards.
- Conduct Quality Checks: Conduct periodic quality checks for tests carried out in the lab using tools like retest, Inter-laboratory, Intra-laboratory, proficiency tests etc.
- Liaise with Regulatory Bodies: Liaise with accreditation/approval/regulatory bodies regarding compliance and approval.
- Document Control: Responsible for control of management system documents in the lab.
- Qualification: B. Sc/M. Sc in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.
