Job Title: Volunteer Services Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our Volunteer Services Team at Team Everest. As a Volunteer Services Fellow, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing volunteering programs, both on-site and virtual, to make a positive impact in communities and educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute volunteering programs, including in-person and virtual activities.
  • Engage with volunteers, mobilize, and manage them effectively for various programs.
  • Visit schools, colleges, and communities to identify and shortlist beneficiaries for programs.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, corporates, and vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor engagement and material procurement as needed.
  • Monitor program progress, track data, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for overall project management, ensuring smooth operations and successful program execution.
  • Manage daily activities and tasks associated with volunteer programs and events.
  • Develop innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language of the city.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with volunteers, beneficiaries, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing guidelines and program requirements.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and general computer skills.
  • Possession of a two-wheeler and driving skills are desirable for local travel.
  • A strong work ethic, with a passion for learning and working independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel locally within the city and occasionally inter-city when required.
Qualification:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree. Degrees in Social Work (BSW/MSW) are preferred, but candidates with any degree are welcome to apply.
  • Prior volunteering experience is an advantage, demonstrating your commitment and passion for social impact.
Preferred Skills:
  • Innovative thinking, with the ability to come up with new ideas and solutions for program challenges.
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Persuasive skills, with the ability to motivate volunteers and partners, fostering collaboration and participation.
Other Information:
  • Full-time position.
  • Probationary period: 3 months.
  • Willing to work with Team Everest for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Designation: Volunteer Services Fellow.
  • Working days: Monday to Friday + 2 working Saturdays a month.
  • Office timing: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
  • Office address: Team Everest office, 148, 2nd St, Lakshmi Nagar, Shanthi Nagar, Chromepet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600044.
  • Joining date: Immediate.
  • Non-Chennai employees: Travel to Chennai for training programs and quarterly meetings as and when required (travel and accommodation will be taken care of by Team Everest).
