Experience Level

This role is ideal for engineers with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, particularly in Ruby on Rails at scale.

Role Overview

As a Software Craftsperson, you'll take pride in clean, test-driven code, believe in Extreme Programming principles, and collaborate with our DevOps team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write Tests First: Ensure code quality.
  • Clean Code: Produce self-explanatory, clean code.
  • Frequent Releases: Make small releases.
  • Pair Programming: Work in pairs for better results.
  • Peer Reviews: Conduct continuous improvement reviews.
  • Product Team: Collaborate to build and roll out new features.
  • Full Stack Ownership: Handle front-end to back-end tasks.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails, Test Driven Development, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong skills in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering methodologies.
  • Ability to design and develop web architecture and optimize infrastructure.
  • Experience in Agile and eXtreme Programming methodologies within a continuous deployment environment.
