Job Title: Digital Marketing Operations Executive

At The Economist, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Operations Executive to join our team. As a key member of our digital marketing operations function, you will play a critical role in enabling our event marketers to work efficiently with technology, processes, and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop website templates to ensure they remain fit for purpose
  • Explore new website features to enhance user experience and increase engagement
  • Assist in the implementation of new initiatives, such as referral campaigns and live chat functionality
  • Optimize web features, including chatbot, pop-up, and sticky bar implementation and design
  • Contribute to the development of our platforms to better meet customer needs
Marketing Automation & Lead Generation Systems:
  • Be a super user of our main automation and lead management platforms, including Eloqua, Adestra, Salesforce, and Cvent
  • Assist in email template, form, and landing page creation for events and content marketing
  • Data integration between front-end registration forms, automation tools, and CRM
  • Assist in the creation of automated drip campaigns templates for delegates and SPEX
  • Assist in building lead flow, scoring models, and end-to-end lead management, as well as integration between CRM and automation systems
  • A/B testing to optimize user experience and conversion rates
Monitoring, Tracking & Reporting:
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the tracking ecosystem, including web, social, GA, Salesforce, and Cvent
  • Monitor and report on digital performance against key KPIs to optimize marketing initiatives for delegates and SPEX (cost-per-acquisition, cost-per-lead, ROI)
  • Build and optimize digital campaign dashboards for each event
Marketing Technology:
  • Manage different marketing tools, including chatbot, referral marketing, and WhatsApp Business
  • Onboard new tools and processes as per business need
On-going Team Support:
  • Train event marketers on newly added features on products
  • Be the point of contact for queries/requirements, including website, landing pages, and reporting dashboards
  • Document new processes and trainings
  • Ensure consistency across events and portfolios
Requirements:
  • Proven relevant digital marketing experience (3+ years)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • UX/UI design sense for website and landing pages
  • Experience with WordPress CMS and landing page creation tools like Unbounce/Webflow
  • Intermediate level knowledge of SEO
  • Experience with social media planning and engagement tools like Sprinklr
  • Knowledge of reporting on website (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) and social analytics
  • Experience working with automation tools like Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Marketo
  • Knowledge of lead management and data integration (desirable)
  • Knowledge of lead scoring models and drip campaigns (desirable)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize accordingly, and work to tight deadlines
  • A creative mindset, contributing new ideas and being able to interpret situations to overcome challenges
  • Enthusiastic, ready to take on challenges and work independently and proactively
