Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our organization.

Job Description:

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on AWS. Your expertise in Python, Scala, and Apache Spark will be utilized to create efficient and scalable data pipelines that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build Scalable Data Pipelines: Utilize your expertise in Python, Scala, and Apache Spark to create efficient and scalable data pipelines that meet business requirements.
  • Implement Data Ingestion, Transformation, and Integration Solutions: Leverage your knowledge of Spark, Glue, and SQL to implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration solutions.
  • Manage and Optimize Cloud Storage and Compute Environments: Ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of cloud storage and compute environments.
  • Ensure Robust Automated Deployments: Use Terraform and Jenkins to ensure robust, automated deployments.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products.

Requirements:

  • Strong Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and/or other languages.
  • Hands-on Experience with Apache Spark: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for big data processing on AWS cloud.
  • Proficiency with AWS Services: Proficiency with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda.
  • Strong SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analytics.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience in IaC using Terraform.
  • Expertise in Setting up and Managing CI/CD Pipelines: Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
