As a Senior Tax Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to our clients.

Job Summary

This role involves the meticulous review of complex financial services client returns, with a primary focus on hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds. The successful candidate will require expertise in handling blocker corporation returns, S-corporation returns, state returns, international filing requirements, and tax law changes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of complex client returns, particularly for hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds
  • Determine international filing requirements through organizational chart analysis and review of international tax returns
  • Train existing/new team members on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback for each project reviewed
  • Supervise kick-off calls to understand the client, regular connections with US counterparts by teams, and intervene in budget conflicts, resource scheduling conflicts, etc.
  • Guide staff/senior team members on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes, e-filing validations
  • Recruit, train, evaluate performance, and mentor team members
  • Establish connections with US counterparts to ensure adherence to timelines and high quality through consistent learning
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop and facilitate training programs and materials for technical topics

Experience Required:

  • Able to conduct independent tax research in unseen tax scenarios
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to learn new tax software
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanor, and a team player
  • Ability to work long hours during busy season times
  • Able to meet deadlines and work based on project urgency
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and handling various projects simultaneously
  • Effective at training and supervising staff and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Able to guide subordinates through technical problems they face
  • Build working relationships with peers, supervisors, and U.S colleagues

Position Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), IRS Enrolled Agent
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware
  • Relevant Experience more than 8+ years with major experience into Financial Services Returns
