Portfolio Analyst Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Analyst to join our team.

  • This role involves identifying new product opportunities across therapies based on medical and marketing feasibility.
  • The successful candidate will conduct in-depth analysis of secondary market data to understand available opportunities.
  • Preliminary IP landscaping of products with respect to various patents globally is also required.
  • The Portfolio Analyst will build and update business cases for new products proposed for selection.
  • Market updates, including label expansions, competition entry, and quarterly sales need to be tracked.
  • Competitor analysis will also be conducted to stay abreast of market trends.
  • New entry channels through in-licensing and other opportunities will be identified.

Key Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the IP landscape in pharma across markets is essential.
  • Good knowledge of pharma regulations in the US, EU, and emerging markets is also required.
  • Familiarity with the formulation selection process, including commercial forecast and MSN technical capabilities, is necessary.
  • Good understanding of forecasting, patient funneling, and pricing strategy is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is also expected.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Education Qualification:

A M. Pharm/ M.Sc Chemistry/ MBA from a Tier I Institute/University is required.

Work Experience:

3-5 years in portfolio, strategy, and/or IPM is preferred.
