Job Title: Database Architect

Job Summary: VDart Software Services is looking for a skilled Database Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database design, development, and implementation using MS SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop database systems, including tables, views, user-defined functions, and stored procedures.
  • Complete performance tuning on SQL Database objects using SQL query performance tuning tools.
  • Investigate and resolve database object issues.
  • Utilize database security regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Review and interpret business report requirements.
  • Build reporting deliverables, to include DDL/DML SQL Scripts.
  • Participate in analysis and development of tasks related to business report requirements.
  • Participate in data analysis for required database objects.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure database systems meet business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database development.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with clients and team members.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of database system implementation and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing database systems.
  • Develop and implement new database systems to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize database projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for database systems.
  • Provide training and support to team members on database systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement database security policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database security.

Requirements:

  • 9 or more years of experience as a SQL Developer using DDL/DML.
  • Strong understanding of SQL programming and database design principles.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of database security regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
  • Understanding of database maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
