Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at EDCS: Expora Database Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd India. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Oracle database solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Oracle database solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Administer Oracle databases across various versions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes using RMAN.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery solutions with Data Guard or Active Data Guard.
  • Lead and execute upgrades and migrations of Oracle databases to newer versions.
  • Install and configure Oracle RAC for high availability.
  • Manage and optimize database performance on Exadata systems.
  • Use GoldenGate for data replication and support during database upgrades.
  • Maintain relevant Oracle certifications and stay updated on new features and best practices.
  • Work across various operating systems and apply understanding of virtualization to enhance database deployment and management.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Experience in database RAC installation.
  • Strong experience on upgrade / Migration of Oracle database to 18c/19c.
  • Database multitenancy handling.
  • Database consolidation handling.
  • Experience of database handling on Exadata.
  • Experience in GoldenGate required for upgrade.
  • Database certification on 12/18c/19c.
  • Working experience on different operating system.
  • Understanding on virtualization.
