System Architect for Linux Integration

As a seasoned system architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the best integration of Ubuntu with the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.

The role is fast-paced and challenging, requiring a resourceful and articulate individual who can deliver on a wide variety of solutions across PC and IoT technologies.

Key responsibilities will include working with partners to deliver a delightful, optimized, first-class Ubuntu experience on their platforms, taking a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms, and participating as a technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.

  • Design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
  • Take a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics.
  • Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • You have a strong background in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto) is required.
  • You have experience working with open source communities and licenses.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages is essential.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a globally distributed team are necessary.
