Job Opportunity: Fiber Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed fiber optic networks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in deploying, splicing, terminating, and testing high-capacity fiber optic cables.
  • Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Support network upkeep, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test results.
  • Collaborate with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and project timelines.
  • Provide on-site support for FTTH, backbone, and enterprise fiber projects.
  • Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel to project sites.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks.
  • Exposure to ISP / Telecom / Infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
