Senior CPU Validation Specialist Position

Job Overview

The role of Senior CPU Validation Specialist is to develop and execute comprehensive validation strategies for cutting-edge CPU hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement thorough post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU components.
  • Conduct rigorous functional, performance, power, and reliability testing on silicon prototypes using various tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and debug silicon issues through the use of logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, and embedded trace.
  • Analyze test failures, create detailed bug reports, and track issues to resolution.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Validate CPU features including cores, caches, memory subsystems, interconnects, power management, and other CPU-specific blocks.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and yield teams to support the bring-up and ramp of silicon in production.
  • Provide valuable feedback and recommendations to pre-silicon teams to improve design and verification quality.
  • Document test plans, methodologies, and validation results for future reference.

Requirements:

  • 4-9 years of experience in CPU validation and testing.
  • Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive validation strategies.
  • Proficiency in using various testing tools and technologies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Able to analyze complex test failures and create actionable bug reports.
