About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Tester to join our team in Bangalore. As a key member of our Quality Engineering team, you will play a vital role in defining and refining our test suite for FlashBlade, a unified fast file and object platform used for modern data.

As a System Tester, you will work closely with Developers, Solution Architects, and Product Managers to ensure that our tests validate customer use cases as closely as possible. You will be responsible for building and maintaining an evolving suite of tests, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize testing needs, and owning and driving testing to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts to ensure high-quality releases of FlashBlade.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design docs, and customer use cases to build effective test coverage.
  • Work with Dev/PM, Support, and Escalation teams to reproduce and root cause customer issues, identify defects, and analyze data to inform future automation project roadmaps.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of test results, defect identification, and resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, preferably within an enterprise storage product environment.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in software testing and test automation, preferably within an enterprise storage product environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Distributed Systems architecture, including file systems, protocols, and replication specifics.
  • Good understanding of how end customers use/deploy Storage Systems, including application ecosystems and directory services.
  • Ability to deploy and use 3rd party IO tools to simulate IO test workloads.
  • Skilled at reviewing and collaborating on product design docs and test plans.
  • Experience working within Agile, Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration organizations.
  • Stellar communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in development and testing of RESTful web services and backend APIs.
