Investment Analyst Job Description

About Us:

We are a prominent investment firm focused on the Indian equity market.

Founded in 2012, we operate on the traditional US hedge fund model. Our founding partners have several years of investment experience each in public equities and venture capital.

Our managing partner has worked at two renowned hedge funds in New York from 2005 until 2012.

We apply principles of stock selection practiced at global hedge funds to the Indian equity market.

Our strategy is rooted in fundamental research and based on a medium to long term outlook.

We specialize in seeking mis-understood situations and abnormal stock movements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for financial modeling, analysis, and forming an investment thesis on your sector.
  • You will track down and analyze every industry/company data point available in the public domain.
  • You will make presentations and present convincing ideas to our team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You should have an interest in capital markets.
  • You should have a good understanding of businesses and sectors.
  • You should have strong skills in financial modeling, analyzing income statements-balance sheet-cash flows and valuing companies.
  • You should have experience building operating and financial models of companies and industries.
  • You should have knowledge of basic principles of equity valuation.
  • You should have exceptional skills in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You should have attention to detail.
  • A relevant work experience (sell-side or buy-side) is preferred.
