Job Description

The Department of Anatomy invites applications for a Professor position, leading academic initiatives and research in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy, and clinical applications.

  • Academic & Teaching:
    • Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
    • Guide Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate students in advanced anatomical studies, thesis writing, and seminars.
    • Develop innovative teaching methodologies including digital anatomy, simulation-based training, and cadaveric dissection.
    • Design and update the Anatomy curriculum as per guidelines.
  • Research & Publications:
    • Conduct original research projects in anatomy and guide Ph.D. scholars in research methodology and publications.
    • Collaborate with other departments and external institutions on interdisciplinary research.
    • Lead research teams and publish papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
    • Promote academic excellence through rigorous scholarship and critical thinking.
  • Administrative & Leadership:
    • Manage departmental resources, budget, and personnel.
    • Organize academic events such as conferences, workshops, and webinars.
    • Ensure compliance with institutional regulations and maintain records.
    • Develop strategic plans to promote the department's goals and objectives.
  • Clinical Skills & Simulation:
    • Oversee Clinical Skills & Simulation Lab (if applicable).
    • Integrate anatomical knowledge with clinical case discussions and surgical correlations.
    • Promote cadaveric skill training for surgeons and postgraduate students.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MD (Anatomy) / MS (Anatomy) or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • 8+ Years of teaching experience in Anatomy as per norms.
  • Strong academic background with evidence of research publications in indexed journals.
  • Experience in curriculum development, e-learning, and modern teaching methodologies preferred.
