Job Title: Senior Technical Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our software engineering division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software programs using multiple languages, including Java.
  • Work with product designers during the design phase and author a technical approach to building features.
  • Break down, refine, and deliver work with your team.
  • Contribute to a wide range of high-impact projects across the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
  • Participate in scrum activities and collaborate with support teams, product management, and other service teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS degree in computer science or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Expertise in multiple languages, including Java.
  • Experience with microservices frameworks such as Spring and Micronaut.
  • Experience building interfaces, including JSON REST APIs and GraphQL.
  • Experience with front-end scripting, including JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and KnockoutJS.
  • Experience with web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with container-based deployment like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Additional skills in one or more of Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
  • Experience with test frameworks like Postman/Newman, JUnit, Enzyme, Jest, Karma, Mocha, Chai, and Puppeteer.
  • Experience with distributed source control, including Git.
  • Experience with build tools like Gradle, Maven, Webpack, Npm, and Yarn.
  • Experience with continuous deployment tools like Teamcity and Jenkins.
  • Working experience within a Linux-based environment.
  • Familiarity with log analysis tools and debugging tools.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with a public cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or Oracle.
  • Experience developing distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, specifically Scrum.
  • Experience using ticket tracking systems like JIRA.
  • Ability to translate wireframes into prototypes and production-read interfaces.
  • Ability to quickly pick up new languages and technologies.
  • Self-driven, able to work independently on a project even while the design is evolving.
  • Strong desire to stay on top of new technologies and services.
  • Passionate about learning.
  • Strong communication skills, including cross-team collaboration.
  • Ability to deliver basic functionality and iterate.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and clinical applications is a plus.
