Job Title: Automation Engineer

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking an experienced automation professional to fill a key role at our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering with expertise in PLC programming, communication protocols, and instrumentation & electrical knowledge.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD)
    • Experience with PID programming and loop tuning
    • Familiarity with communication protocols including Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless, and IoT
    • Knowledge of MQTT protocol
    • Experience working with Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Schneider platforms
  • Instrumentation & Electrical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with thermocouple, pressure, and level transmitters/switches
    • Experience with proximity sensors and modulating valves
    • Understanding of instrumentation & control earthing and power earthing
    • Familiarity with safety systems – preferred
  • Site & Field Experience:
    • Experience with site commissioning
    • Hands-on experience with panel wiring and termination
    • Comfortable with physical work during setup
    • Experience with multi-site execution
  • Project & Managerial Capability:
    • Experience managing teams or technicians
    • Hands-on experience with industrial automation projects
    • Vendor coordination and procurement knowledge
    • Ownership of deliverables in projects
  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Experience with functional design specification (FDS)
    • IO documentation and wiring diagrams
    • Control panel layout and GA review
    • Reporting, email, and team communication
    • Exposure to remote diagnostics/cloud integration – preferred
