Job Title: Multi-Channel Messaging Platform Architect

  • Design and build microservices for message ingestion, validation/preprocessing, enrichment, routing, dispatch, delivery receipts, and retries.
  • Implement concurrency at scale using multi-process/async workers and tune throughput, back-pressure, and graceful shedding.
  • Model queues, exchanges, routing keys, DLQs, TTLs, idempotency tokens in RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Develop production-grade connectors for WhatsApp Cloud API, Google RCS Business Messaging, SMPP/operator REST, handling webhooks, HSM/template policies, rate limits, and error taxonomies.
  • Implement reliability patterns such as at-least-once semantics, retry with jitter, outbox/inbox patterns, dedupe, and exactly-once where feasible.
  • Ensure observability through structured logging, tracing (OpenTelemetry), metrics (Prometheus), SLOs, red/black dashboards, and alerting.
  • Design schemas for message states, audit trails, and compliance logs (Postgres) and implement scalable analytics/time-series (e.g., ClickHouse/Timescale).
  • Handle security and compliance requirements including secrets management, key rotation, PII handling, and alignment with TRAI/DLT & operator policies.
  • Oversee CI/CD and DevEx processes involving Docker images, K8s manifests/Helm, GitHub Actions, canary/blue-green deployments, and migration discipline.
  • Take performance ownership of load testing, capacity planning, cost/throughput tuning, and optimize the platform for high availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization.
  • Knowledge of messaging protocols, APIs, and data formats.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
