Automation Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Developer to design and develop automated test suites using JavaScript as the primary programming language.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages and hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Protractor, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Develop Automated Test Suites: You will be responsible for designing and developing automated test suites using JavaScript as the primary programming language. This will involve creating test scripts, integrating them into our development process, and ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  2. Implement API and UI Automation: You will work on implementing API and UI automation using agile methodologies and tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo for continuous integration. This will involve writing code, testing it, and ensuring it meets our quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: As part of this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated test suites into the development process. This will involve working closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
  4. Maintain and Improve Existing Automation Scripts: You will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing automation scripts to ensure high-quality and efficient testing. This will involve reviewing code, identifying areas for improvement, and making necessary changes.
Requirements:
  • Software Development Experience: We are looking for someone with 6-14 years of experience in software development with a focus on automation. You should have a strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
  • Programming Skills: A strong background in JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages is essential for this role. You should also have hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Protractor, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress.
  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with Jasmine or Mocha testing frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are required for this role. You should be able to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
