Senior Cloud Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned cloud expert to join our team as a Senior Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS environments.

This position involves designing and building cloud infrastructure on AWS, automating infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, configuring IAM roles, policies, and user groups, setting up and managing RDS databases, implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub/Bitbucket, optimizing cloud costs using Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer & tagging strategies, monitoring environments with New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, documenting SOPs, knowledge bases & ensuring cloud security best practices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing and building cloud infrastructure on AWS;
  • Proficient in various AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, ECS, VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, and more;
  • Automating infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation;
  • Configuring IAM roles, policies, and user groups;
  • Setting up and managing RDS databases (MySQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MariaDB);
  • Strong expertise in VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NAT/IGW, Route 53, WAF, etc.;
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub/Bitbucket and working with tools like ServiceNow, Jira;
  • Optimizing cloud costs using Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer & tagging strategies;
  • Applying AMI upgrades, patches, and maintenance window planning;
  • Monitoring environments with New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana;
  • Documenting SOPs, knowledge bases & ensuring cloud security best practices;
  • Excellent communication & independent problem-solving skills.
Requirements for the Position
  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud engineering;
  • Strong expertise in AWS services and technologies;
  • Hands-on experience with ECS/EKS clusters, Docker images, and AMIs;
  • Experience with automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation;
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document processes.
