About this role: We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver technical projects in data engineering and analytics. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams to execute data platform, pipeline, and analytics initiatives ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

About the responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time, within scope, and within budget successfully.
  • A deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows is necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and operations teams to define project requirements and success metrics effectively.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) is beneficial.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies carefully.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies efficiently.
  • Track project progress using tools like Jira, Confluence, and report status to stakeholders regularly.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project blockers and dependencies promptly.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is current and aligned with project goals thoroughly.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Manage third-party vendors or external contractors when applicable professionally.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team efficiency continuously.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management within a technical environment is essential.
  • A strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall) is necessary.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) is required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
