K-12 Educational Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Academic Coordinator to join our team at Ekya Schools. This is a vital role in the school's leadership team, responsible for driving curriculum implementation and acting as the main liaison between the Head of School, educators, and students.
Key Responsibilities:- Planning and Supervision: Plan and implement the academic schedule and yearly calendar with the Head of School (HOS), focusing on key activities. Assist with teacher allocation and timetable preparation, ensuring proper grade assignments across platforms. Onboard new teachers, familiarize them with school culture, and oversee classroom setup and daily transitions. Plan student shuffling for the next year and ensure effective use of space and a safe, welcoming campus. At year-end, manage classroom clearances, stock listing, and redistribution of reusable items.
- Curriculum: Walk teachers through the units planned and discuss the implementation. Check whether the LPs, resources, modules etc and being correctly used and teacher are staying on the schedule laid out. Ensure that assessments are completed well within the time frame. Work with grade-level and learning areas to set measurable student goals for the current year. Ensure that all teachers have high quality curriculum materials, technology and training on how to use them.
- Instruction: Ensure teachers are using appropriate instructional tools for better teaching and learning.
- Assessments: Ensure Portions for tests are checked and sent out on time. Check and review and term papers and address any change required with the concerned team.
- Professional Practice: Provide mentorship and support to the talented team of educators under their care. Conduct regular classroom observations, including unannounced visits, and offer constructive feedback based on these insights. Cultivate a culture of professional growth and collaboration to elevate teaching quality and improve student outcomes.
- Student Engagement and Support: Create a nurturing learning environment that supports every student's academic, social, and emotional development. Implement strategies to promote student engagement, well-being, and success.
- Parent Communication: Ensure effective use of designated platforms to keep parents informed and engaged, draft circulars, and facilitate meaningful teacher-student-parent interactions. Foster a welcoming and respectful environment by responding promptly to concerns and issues.
- Reports & Documentation: Maintain relevant documents, including but not limited to the Students Database, Parent Complaint Register, Staff Substitution Record, Incident Reports, Parent Circular Record, Attendance Reports, and Minutes of Staff Meeting
This role offers a competitive salary of ₹8,50,000 - ₹10,50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
