As an Area Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of your department.

  • You will be responsible for reviewing work forecasts and determining productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
  • Partnership with other Area Managers is crucial to balance labor and ensure efficient shifts while meeting goals.
  • You must support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment for associates.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools proactively.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Your team of warehouse associates relies on you to provide proper training and address their needs so they can focus on their jobs.

Additional Job Elements

  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
  • Frequent walking within the facility and around areas; facilities span over a quarter mile in length.
  • Continual standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to work in noisy, unlit environments that may not be air-conditioned.
  • Able to access all areas of the building safely and without limitation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Direct management experience for employees and performance tracking.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement techniques.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts regularly.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques.
