Electromechanical Technician Job Description

The role of Electromechanical Technician involves installation, maintenance and repair of complex electromechanical systems.

As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys to identify potential electrical and mechanical hazards.
  • Terminate AC & DC power cables safely and efficiently.
  • Install, test and maintain low-current systems such as CCTV.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems and firefighting systems.
  • Use testing tools such as power meters and gas detectors to ensure system integrity.
  • Prepare reports and update emails as required.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of site survey procedures.
  • Proficiency in AC & DC power cable termination.
  • Experience with low-current systems (e.g., CCTV, etc.).
  • Installation of rectifiers and batteries.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of firefighting systems.
  • Ability to use testing tools for power cables and HVAC systems (e.g., power meter, gas detector, etc.).
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of civil quality standards.
