Job Title: Wireless DAS Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless DAS Engineer to join our team at Black Box. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) networks, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Tier 3 escalation support for clients requiring expert troubleshooting on various technical matters involving hardware, software, and wireless connectivity issues.
  2. Identify, research, analyze, diagnose, resolve, and close escalated technical problems in a quality and timely manner.
  3. Prepare documentation for internal and external clients detailing system designs and configuration of deployed solutions.
  4. Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with clients, infrastructure vendors, software and hardware vendors, and related key contributors to ensure stable and quality product and service delivery consistent with company objectives and client expectations.
  5. Continuously expand, research, and leverage knowledge of market and industry trends and benchmarking to identify, recommend, and implement best practices, methodologies, and relevant analytics.
  6. Meet all financial performance objectives for area of responsibility and take corrective action as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years with Wireless Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) support engineering responsibilities involving complex client requirements assessment, solutions design, and implementation within the technology services industry.
  • Experience with wireless carrier or Managed Service Provider environment preferred.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Wireless DAS engineering technical experience: DAS installation, greenlighting, commissioning, and maintenance of in-building DAS systems or 2-way radio systems.
  • Ability to swiftly interpret DAS alarms to determine root cause and action required.
  • High density wireless environments.
  • iBwave, CommScope, Corning, or JMA Wireless or related certifications preferred.
