Job Title: Business Analyst
The Role of a Business Analyst in IAM

This role requires an individual to work as a Business Analyst within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) department. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in IAM, with a focus on manual discovery of Identity Provider (IDP) and API Gateway usage across applications.

  • Gather data from application teams, document API credential lifecycles, and support governance enforcement.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with team members in Malaysia and Chennai, while engaging with application teams globally.
  • Leading manual discovery of IDP and API gateway usage, as automated scans may not be available to detect integrations.
  • Reaching out to application teams, consolidating and governing collected information, and building an accurate inventory of IDP/API usage.
  • Using questionnaires to capture details on authentication methods, credential lifecycles, and governance gaps.
  • Understanding and documenting how API credentials and authentication lifecycles are managed across applications.
  • Moving on to process documentation, operationalization, and supporting governance enforcement.
  • Preparing for integration into the future centralized technical solution.
  • Collaborating with IAM architects, product owners, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable and compliant onboarding solutions.
  • Supporting go-live activities, post-deployment troubleshooting, and periodic access automation validation checks.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Intermediate to advanced Knowledge on IT Information Security
  • Good understanding of IAM control reviews
  • Experience in user access administration model on various Applications
  • Experience in IAM projects, particularly around IDP and API security.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodology
  • Effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders to handover the transition efficiently
  • Good experience in managing application & infrastructure related issues.
  • Good knowledge in project planning and risk management
  • Escalation Management and Stakeholder Management
Preferred Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of IDP (Identity Providers) and API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, API keys).
  • Knowledge of API credential lifecycle and governance practices.
  • Ability to conduct manual discovery, engage stakeholders, and capture complex technical flows.
