Job Role: IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Job

This role involves providing technical support and ensuring seamless operations by resolving hardware/software problems, managing systems and networks, and enhancing efficiency through collaboration and automation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to and resolving technical issues via phone, email, or chat.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware/software problems, and performing installations, configurations, and updates.
  • Providing remote support using desktop tools, and managing network devices and administering firewall settings for security.
  • Maintaining detailed records and generating reports using Google Docs and Sheets.
  • Offering support for login issues, password resets, and account management, as well as educating users on IT policies and best practices.
  • Coordinating with vendors for hardware/software procurement and technical support.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT asset management, Networking, and hardware/software support.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting tools and remote support platforms.

Desirable Skills

It would be beneficial if you have experience working with APIs for automation, familiarity with network security tools and firewall configuration, and basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., Python).
