Job Description

We are urgently hiring an Admissions Counselor for VIBGYOR High, Chokkanahalli, Bengaluru.

Please ensure you verify the work location and job description before applying for this position. Teaching experience is mandatory for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing student enrollments and retention of students in the school. They will provide guidance to prospective parents on selecting the most suitable curriculum for their child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Relationship Executive Cell in admission conversions and achieving enrollment targets.
  • Orient and guide new parents on the curriculum framework offered by the school.
  • Provide details of the board structure and the integrated curriculum provided by the school.
  • Assist the RE Cell in identifying children with special needs and offer advice to their parents on additional support provided by the school.
  • Conduct campus tours for prospective parents and provide guidance on teaching initiatives taken by the school.
  • Advise parents individually or in groups regarding academic eligibility requirements, appropriate board selection, academic policies, and delivery procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the School's programs and requirements.
  • Assist parents in admission registration, evaluate student admissibility, and provide guidance on the admission process.
  • Address existing parents' queries and assist in timely closure of issues raised by them.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the VIBGYOR alumni association and VIBGYOR Internship programs in the school and maintain data pertaining to alumni membership and engagement activities.
  • Address and resolve academic grievances raised by parents to ensure high customer satisfaction. Coordinate with internal teams to appraise parents on student progress when needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate in any stream with a professional degree. Preferred (B.Ed/M.Ed). Candidates with professional certification in Pre-Primary/Primary/Secondary teaching may also be considered.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in teaching in Schools.
  • Prior experience in admission counseling for Schools will be an added advantage.
Expected Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in group presentations is critical.
  • Critical Thinking
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds, abilities, outlooks, ages, and nationalities
  • Proficient knowledge of curriculums.
  • In-depth knowledge of effective sales and negotiation tactics.
