Seeking a seasoned SAP Solutions Designer to drive analysis and design activities for IT projects.

This role involves working closely with the SAP Domain Lead to manage demand and solution delivery to time, quality, and budget.

The job requires providing expert advice and technical support to client IT Teams, including third parties, to ensure that SAP standards and guidelines are followed.

  • Understanding complex requirements and identifying SAP impacts and required system changes to drive business change.
  • Documentation of system process through diagramming.
  • SAP Configuration in the required functional area.
  • Write Functional Specifications to explain the required system changes with the required detail for an ABAP programmer to develop from.
  • Functional unit testing of ABAP changes or configuration changes.
  • Working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to deliver SAP changes, e.g., test team, support team, integration team, other SAP functional teams.
  • Implementation of system changes to Production.
  • Warranty support of changes.

The ideal candidate should have great SAP functional experience in one of the required SAP modules for the relevant SAP Domain. They should also be a curious problem solver who can understand how the current SAP configuration works and analyze SAP system impacts to arrive at a solution to meet requirements.

Additionally, the candidate should have a questioning mindset to dig deeper into the requirements and understand the real problem trying to be solved. They should also be able to explain complex IT concepts in understandable business language and have ownership to drive and deliver changes to production, or investigate defects to resolution.

Requirements:
  • Great SAP functional experience in one of the required SAP modules for the relevant SAP Domain: ERP Core, Customer Relationship Management, Retail & Commerce, Data & Analytics, Cross-Functional & Governance, Human Capital Management.
  • Curious problem solver to understand how the current SAP configuration works and to analyse SAP system impacts to arrive at a solution to meet requirements.
  • Questioning mindset to dig deeper into the requirements and to understand the real problem trying to be solved to translate into clear functional requirements.
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in understandable business language.
  • Ownership to drive and deliver changes to production, or investigate defects to resolution.
  • Ability to deal with senior stakeholders and multiple demands with a degree of ambiguity.
  • A strong commercial acumen and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate changing priorities, understand 'what good looks like', and capable of multi-tasking.
